First Trip for New Blue Line

Cars!

At 11:35 A.M. on February 20, 2008, the MBTA sent its newest fleet of Blue Line subway cars, manufactured by Siemens. out to Aquarium station, the site of the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. There, the public was allowed to ride these cars for the first time.


Revenue Run #1! On its way to Aquarium, from the car barn at Orient Heights. In Orient heights...

No stops for this train...I was out of luck. Upon departure from Orient Heights, in East Boston, Ma.

Most recently, the MBTA has been testing more of these new cars; expect to see them over the coming weeks...more of these cars were tested very recently:
