How to search for scholarships using the Internet
(and which sites are winners.).

ISBN: 0-9753815-0-4 (Microsoft Reader® format.)
Price: $5.95 for the e-book
(Microsoft Reader format);
$6.95 in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format;
$7.95 for the CD-ROM version.

This e-book has links to a number of important websites that contain scholarship offers (something a regular paper book could never offer!!), as long as your computer has a live Internet connection. This e-book cuts right to the chase, so you don't have to spend valuable time looking at websites that might be irrelevant to you, the college student or parent searching for college scholarships for your son or daughter. Also includes a section on what to beware of in selecting scholarships; because of the increasing number of scholarship scams surfacing over the Internet (see the Federal Trade Commission's website for more details.), it is important to know what to look for and not be the victim of a scholarship scam. This book can also be purchased on CD-ROM at Amazon.com.

News from New England Press:

The first book from New England Press is almost ready for release. Tentatively scheduled for pre-release on June 10th, 2005, How to Search for Scholarship Using the Internet (and Which Site are Winners.) will be initally given away free, for purposes of critique and for gathering testimonials to be used in the final release, scheduled for July 15, 2005. Only 100 copies will be distributed in this manner, tracked by logs on this website.

We have set up a blog! We are looking for authors to share their experiences with e-publishing and with publishing e-books in particular. In the coming weeks, we will set up other blogs for readers of e-books, and those curious about them. Blogs are rapidly coming into their own, and they've now been made easy to set up, for persons like me, who can do the basics of HTML...but little more.

Other book projects in the works:

  • Observations about where our government, and we as a nation, are going. Something in the vein of Michael Moore...only more critical.
  • A book on how to choose a group home for your relative who needs one. What to look for, and what to avoid, written by an author who works in human service and in group homes.

  • More how-to. Things useful to you, as readers who want practical advice on how to save money, time, and generally make your life better. Got any suggestions? E-mail me at comments@newenglandpress.com.

  • A philosophical view on where Capitalism and business should be going from here.

  • Humor. This could also be a difficult one to write for the author...but deliciously dry, like the English (Exactly what you'd expect from someone with a last name of Murphy! Anything else is just humor!).

  • A collection of erotica. This will entail seting up a new section of this website; one that will be rated so as to enable parents to keep their children out by setting controls found either in Internet Explorer or NetNanny (And yes...this will be readable using a handheld device! Face it...erotica just isn't the same in front of a computer screen as it is in bed!!). This could be the biggest challenge to the author to date, because good erotica is so hard to write (try it one day, and you'll see what I mean...)! (check out other filtering software available.)
